Charming and Functional

Instead of having a cute little display or something of that sort on my bathroom
counter, I decided to create something that would not only
be cute but would also serve a purpose...storage!
I started with this little conservatory...
Then added things that I use everyday, makeup brushes, perfume/cologne, jewelry, etc. To add a little charm and beauty I also added a pink hydrangea, an old book, vintage handkerchiefs, and a vintage baby brush.I love this vintage lady head planter; it is the perfect home to my makeup brushes.

  1. Emily,
Again, thanks for your help. I figured out the problem. The color I got looked NOTHING like the color in your picture! It was REALLY Yellow. The guy at Lowe's who looked up the color for me mixed "Hay" and not "Fresh Hay" like I asked for. I took it back and they gladly switched it for me. Fresh Hay is EXACTLY what I am looking for for my kitchen! Now I just have to convince the Hubby. . . ;0)
p.s. I ADORE your Dr. Seuss Room!

  3. What a sweet & romantic look. I always look for the head planters in antique or thrift stores, but they are hard to come by. At least the ones that I like, like yours. Some are kind of "creepy" ugly. Yours has a really sweet face. By-the-way, thank you for becoming a follower.

  7. Hi Emily, I'm visiting from show and tell Friday. Cute idea! I just found a conservatory at Goodwill for $2.00 woo hoo! Mine is black and is missing the glass but I'm excited to do something with it. I'm your newest follower. I would love to have you stop by my nest sometime.
