A lot can happen in a weekend...

Hope you all had a great weekend!

This weekend I had so much fun helping my sister with a few projects for her bedroom. Together we painted a dresser, an armoire, a mirror, some frames, and a lamp. We added a sweet little ruffle to a lampshade, painted and hung a vintage chandelier, hung some curtains, re-arranged some furniture, etc.

I love her room, it is darling and so inviting!

We painted the mirror, the dresser and the armoire with Martha Stewart's "Glass of Milk" in semi gloss.
Isn't this armoire darling!?! My sister found it on craigslist and knew it had potential. She sanded and primed it, I then helped her paint and distress it. It turned out so cute! I love the pink knobs on the creamy white paint...so shabby chic!!!

I seriously love the pink glass knobs...darling!!!

  2. They turned out beautifully !! Your sister must be so pleased. Okay ... I'm asking all of you painting gurus ... how long after you painted did you take sandpaper to it to distress/age it? Did you put a poly on top once you were satisfied? And, what grit sandpaper did you use. So sorry for the questions ... I'm about to paint a bookcase. :) *Becca*
