fresh herbs all year long

The other day I was at Wal*Mart and I happened to notice that all of the herbs were 75% off. I grabbed some and decided to plant my herb garden that I never got around to doing earlier in the season. The herbs are planted in little buckets and attached to some twigs that I attached to my fence using eye hooks.
I planted the herbs in buckets so that I can bring them inside when the weather changes. I am excited to have fresh herbs all winter long!

  5. I absolutely love the twig hanger! I am totally doing that next summer. And your herbs look great in those pots. I was just sulking about losing my basil, but maybe I should try to get some going inside!

  13. Great idea and great sale! I have three small metal buckets I was thinking of adding herbs to also, Emily. Did you have to put any stones or anything in the bottom before putting the plants in? That is my only concern. I could just see mine dying because of no drainage! I'm just waiting on some number tags I ordered for my buckets.
